12-12-04 Livingwell Premier Mixed Tournament (Sunday Night Christmas Tournament)
 The Xmas Fun tournament turned out to be just that - great fun.  It saw various people playing out of position at some point and showed some interesting things - Susie can shoot, Colin can play Centre and Jude can play defence\WA.

We got through to the semi finals again, losing by 1 goal in extra time!!

 
21-11-04 Livingwell Premier Mixed Tournament (Sunday Night)
 Well, it finally happened - VSL beat Aspen.  It was a close fought game, literally goal for goal but VSL managed to pull away to an 8 goal lead when the final whistle went.

Well done VSL!!

 
13-11-04 Dublin Mixed Tournament
 What a great weekend, even though netball was played only on the Saturday saw VSL victorious in a tournament.
3 teams from England vs 3 teams from Ireland meant good netball, good fun and a good time.

VSL Presentation Night
 The first VSL Presentation night took place at Andreas Greek Taverna.  A good night was had by all with lots of awards being presented.  Check out the awards and pictures of the night here.
It must soon be time to start planning the VSL Christmas party!!

 At the moment we are at 18 definites for the presentation evening.  Not much space left so if you want to go - £5 deposit to Judy ASAP.  It is being held at Andreas Greek Taverna on 2nd October 2004.

2004 Belfast Corporate Games Mixed Netball CANCELLED!!
 Sad news – the above has had to be cancelled due to low response – I think there was only us.  Hopefully we will be able to carry the free entry to next years Corporate Games in Manchester.

 Make a note in your diaries – 10-12th June 2005, VSL will return to defend their title.

 Mark’s plaster has come off today, but it will be 3 months before back playing netball!!

 
01-08-04 2004 Corporate Games in Belfast
VSL have been invited to take part in the All Ireland Corporate Games, to be held in Belfast in September.
As VSL came first in the mixed netball section the invite is for free entry.

Salisbury Mixed Netball Tournament
VSL won their group but were knocked out in the semi's yet again, after a
well fought game.
Weather was fantastic and added to a really enjoyable day.

VSL Presentation Night
 VSL are to hold their first Presentation night at Andreas Greek Taverna in Peterborough on 2nd October 2004.  There will be awards/certificates for everybody and some will be decided on the night!!  Food will be a Meze and of course non-alcoholic drinks will be available to all.  Looks to be a great evening – book your tickets now - £5 deposit to Judy.

Another good tournament, except for the weather not being able to make
its mind up.
VSL got through to the semi's after winning some closely fought games.

2004 Corporate Games Mixed Netball Gold Medal Winners
 Hail to the Gold Medal winners.  What a weekend with netball and partying and netball and gold medals and partying!!! 

But let us not forget the one armed bandit himself, Mark who had to watch VSL win the gold medal without him – Don’t get paranoid now!!

Kingston Mixed Netball Tournament
 Good news first -  VSL won their first tournament, with the prize being beer, lots of beer!!
The incentive speaks for itself.

Now for the bad news – Mark, playing in the GD position broke his arm during an astounding interception.  The take off was stylish but the landing was somewhat technically incorrect, landing on his backside/elbow with an almighty thud!!  This was done in the early stages of the day but the team, plus a borrowed person went on to win the plate section.
